The Intubation Box works by sitting over the head and shoulders of a patient as they are intubated by a physician as part of the process to put the patient on a ventilator. The box acts as a protective shield between the patient and medical staff, thereby minimizing the medical staff’s exposure to Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The COVID-19 virus remains highly contagious and these boxes serve as an additional layer of protection when aerosol generating procedures are performed. Intubation is considered an extremely high-risk procedure for medical staff in the OT/ICU/Any procedure involving contact with subject. This box will reduce this risk by containing the aerosols generated by the patient during the intubation procedure.

The box can be cleaned with bleach or the Sani-Cloth wipes that most hospitals already use.
